How we work


We don’t guess what people need - we ask them directly.


From Basel with Love Team works closely with a trusted network of volunteers, social workers and doctors across Ukraine. After careful consideration (sometimes even visiting their homes) they provide us with a list of contacts based on our project requirements which include names, phone numbers and a short description of the situation and personal story of each individual/ family.

This is when we take over!
Our small team in Binningen personally calls each family to understand their real needs:
We ask about:
● Clothing sizes (and yes, sometimes even ask for a photo, to ensure sizing is accurate—especially since EU sizing is different from Ukrainian charts)
● Diaper size, hygiene product, food allergies
● Household items, specific developmental toys (eg. Kinetic sand, sensory and motor development)

This personal approach ensures dignity, prevents waste and allows for truly tailored aid.
